Temporary Rental Housing Assistance Program (TRHAP)
In order to help pay residents' rent due to the pandemic, the State of Connecticut has created the Temporary Rental Housing Assistance Program (TRHAP) to respond to the housing issues associated with the advent of COVID-19. Check on status of the next assistance program
The TRHAP program is closed, but a new program is forthcoming.
- This new program will work to administer $237 million from the federal government for rental assistance
- Accepted participants will be reassessed in 3-month intervals
- This new program includes a utility assistance component
The HomeOwnership Center was able to assist 448 families with over $1,415,000 in assistance through the course of the TRHAP program.
