NHS intervened literally days before the proposed demolition to rescue this fire-ravaged building on Kensington Street. Built in the mid-1870s by contractor Theodore N. Hotchkiss, the Italianate villa style house had suffered decades of neglect. Despite this, NHS could still see the charm hidden behind the deteriorated facade of this property and another (83 Kensington) of similar design located a few houses away.
